Guideline 401(k)

The easy, affordable 401(k) for small business.

Key benefits

  • Affordable pricing: Guideline charges employers a $8 flat-rate monthly fee per participant, in contrast to an asset-based fee model. Guideline doesn’t charge participants any fees on investments, regardless of the value of their account balance.
  • Cutting-edge automation: Guideline’s technology automates plan administration, recordkeeping, compliance testing, reporting and disclosures, and investment management at no extra cost. Guideline is an ERISA 3(16) and 3(38) fiduciary.
  • Self-serve account management: With Guideline’s retirement savings dashboard, participants can set contribution rates, adjust their investment portfolio, check their balance, review statements, recent activity, and receive notifications in one place.

How it works with QuickBooks

Guideline is integrated directly with QuickBooks Online Payroll. For businesses that use QuickBooks Online Payroll, the integration transfers data from QuickBooks Online Payroll to Guideline, making 401(k) contributions automatic, eliminating the need to manage employee enrollment and send payroll contribution reports every pay period. The integration relieves businesses of the administrative 401(k) burden, allowing them to spend time focusing on what’s most important: their business and its employees.
